Minister Phil Hughes
Phil has been leading Clevedon Baptist Church since 2001. Before he trained to be a church leader he worked as a bus electrician, got made redundant, and then worked for Barclays International. His favourite shop in Clevedon is Gregg’s.

Phil Durrant, Associate Minister for Discipleship
Phil joined us in autumn 2011 in order to confuse everyone by also being Phil. He is newly married to Jo and has come to help the church grapple with what it means to be Jesus followers.

Sarah Sweet, Church Administrator
Sarah is our Administrator and Ministry Team Leader for Community Care & Social Action. With a degree in Social Welfare and Community Studies, Sarah also enjoys travelling, painting and speaking French (bienvenue a l’eglise Clevedon Baptist!).

Becky Bessant, Children’s and Families’ Team Leader
Becky has been involved in children’s work for about 7 years and was appointed as the Children and Families Team Leader in January 2011. Her secret ambition is to learn to ballroom dance ‘strictly come dancing’ style!

Sara Dodd, Youth Team Leader
Sara is relatively new to CBC and has only recently moved to sunny Clevedon with her husband, Chris. Sara has worked with young people for about eight years and enjoys combining her passions for inventing new games and talking about Jesus.

Gemma Jennings, Cleaner
I have worshipped at this church all my life and been a member since 1994. I have been the cleaner for the past 7 years and see it as part of my worship to God
Voluntary leaders
We elect some members to work voluntarily as Pastoral Team Leaders to care for the staff and people who come to the church. Others are elected as Ministry Team Leaders to take responsibility for various areas of activity.
