Clevedon Baptist Church is in a North Somerset coastal town near Bristol and our large modern building is located in the town centre square. Our purpose may be summarised as follows: Living with a purpose; Loving Jesus and our neighbours; Belonging to a distinctive Christian community.
The church is seeking to appoint an Associate Minister to join our team. They will help to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, and to enable the church to grow in every way more like Christ for the sake of mission. This role includes general ministry responsibility as well as some key primary ministry responsibilities in the areas of discipleship, small groups and growing new leaders.
There will also be space, scope and encouragement for you to engage in areas of ministry that are an outworking of your spiritual gifts and ministry specialisms that you are being led by the Spirit to explore, experiment with, deploy and grow into. For example worship, mission to millennials, social action community work or another specialism.
Our overall vision as a church is to be a large, multi-congregational, all-age, disciple-making, contextually aware, word and Spirit Baptist church. In 2016 we planted a new all age church. Our desire is to build a team based around the Ephesians 4 gifts (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher). There is now the opportunity for a new minister to join the team, be part of an exciting new phase of ministry and mission and to join a Spirit-filled, missional, worshipping community.
Standard Terms of Appointment as recommended by the Baptist Union.
