Churches Together in Clevedon is beginning a new initiative to support the Town Centre and Hill Road retail and business communities. Over the past year a team of Chaplains have been undergoing training so that they can offer support and when needed pastoral care to the wider retail and business community of Clevedon. Chaplaincy provision is well established in the world of education and universities, hospitals and health care and the armed forces and police. The church in Clevedon feels that such a provision of Chaplains being available to listen and support people in their workplaces and through their ups and downs of everyday life should be made in our town.
The Clevedon Chaplaincy Team will be out and about in Hill Road and the Town Centre in the coming weeks, visiting shops, market stalls and businesses. You will recognise them with their Chaplains jackets and badges. They are there to make our town an even better place to live and work in.
We are looking to run some further workshop training sessions in 2019 on 4 April, 2 May, 6 June, 4 July, 5 September, 3 October and 7 November.
